Sunsets in the Scottish Highlands are often spectacular. If you are lucky you may also see the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights and I remember the first time I saw the Northern Lights while on holiday at Camusnagaul, near Dundonnell. During the summer months it does not get dark until nearly midnight and I spent over half an hour watching the changing coloured sky in the early hours. While I can't promise you will see the Aurora while on holiday in the Highlands you should have a good opportunity to see the next best thing, wonderful sunsets.
