Poolewe and bridge over River Ewe
Poolewe is famous for the Inverewe Gardens, for its wonderful scenery and views over Loch Ewe. Poolewe is on the north west coast of Highland Scotland; looking at a map of Scotland find Inverness then look to over to the west coast and find Loch Maree. Poolewe is then easy to find as the River Ewe runs the short distance from Loch Maree into Loch Ewe at the village of Poolewe.
Inverewe Garden has many semi-tropical plants
The Inverewe Garden is owned and run by the National Trust for Scotland and is visited by many people each year, some traveling around Scotland on Scottish bus tours of the Highlands, others making their own way to explore and discover Scotland for themselves.

Inverewe Garden has a wide range of semi-tropical plants. The garden was built in 1862 by Osgood Mackenzie on barren land with trees planted on 100 acres to provide shelter for the garden. This is a truly amazing garden and well worth taking trip to Poolewe in the west coast of Scotland.
